Who is Sweet Cakes Bakery?

Sweet Cakes Bakery is the brain child of two foodies who love to bake. Started in the summer of 2007, Sweet Cakes Bakery creates delicious "from scratch" confections in the Dallas/Ft.Worth area. The Sweet Cakes Bakery team consists of Emily Hill and Ann Ikonne.

Emily, brings 16 years of baking experience from a southern kitchen. "I guess you could say I grew up in the kitchen. My fondest memories from childhood are in the kitchen with my mother and grandmother."

Although baking was new to Ann, with a degree in Biochemistry from the University of Texas at Austin, Ann was a natural. "I haven't spent much time in the kitchen, however, I have always been a very crafty and creative person. I like experimenting with flavors and having fun with presentation." One of Ann's popular sayings is," food is chemistry!"

With their diverse backgrounds, there is nothing that Sweet Cakes Bakery can't achieve.
